The first present for baby

My bump is beginning to be a tell tail giveaway. Our Mum's can barely contain themselves! For the first time in our home there is talk of cots and buggies and nappies and.... Yes, we are having a baby...


Hurtling towards our mid thirties, Liam and I decided there was never going to be a perfect time and we were never going to feel responsible enough. So we ‘threw caution to the wind’ and low and behold, a ‘little’ miracle happened!

Not long after we shared our 'we can't quite believe it' secret to our nearest and dearest, we received this carefully chosen (first ever) baby present from my treasured brother and sister-in-law — Luke and Delba. Neutral (because we want a surprise) and complete with animals that (I like to think) pay homage to our Zambian routes. This beautiful present was, "to make it feel real" for us :-)


I think we've been taking things rather calmly — something I'd like to try and keep up... I mean, worry, stress and fear can't be good for tiny humans. Let's see how I feel about that in November!

So, after four months of nausea and extreme lethargy, one month of dreadful anti histamine free hay fever, and three weeks of flu somewhere in the middle, I'm feeling much more like Sara. I'm about ready to come out of hiding...
